Sr. Lorna McCormick Library
Click here to learn more about Sister Lorna, SNJM, whom the library was dedicated after.
Miss Watters has been teaching at STM since 2008. She has a Masters of Education with endorsements in Elementary Education K-8, Special Education K-12, and Library Media K-12. Click her to learn more information about her.
The library is designed to support and enhance the school’s curriculum, help students become informational and media literate, and support the development for an appreciation of reading and learning. In library, students will learn library and information skills, hear fabulous stories, check-out books, take AR tests (grades 3-8), and participate in independent reading. Students come to library as a class once per week and a more flexible schedule allows for individuals or classes to access the library as needed.
Destiny Library Catalog – Our library catalog can be accessed from any computer online. Students may also login with their same AR username and password to access their accounts or place holds on books.
Ebook Information – Here is a list of great websites to find FREE ebooks online.
Accelerated Reader (AR) – Students may check their AR points from home and see what books they have tested on. Tests may only be accessed from school.
Parent Accelerated Reader (AR) Site – Parents check your child’s AR progress any time. Contact Miss Watters if you do not have an account yet.
AR Book Find – STM has access to thousands of AR tests, not just on our books, but for every AR test available. Check here to see if the book you’re reading is on AR (it probably is!).
Bored? The 8th grade, Class of 2020, created videos of activities you can do while at home. Click for the list of all the activities.
